I see the player you mean.
Yes. Take care. It has reached a higher level now. It can read our thoughts.
That doesn't matter. It thinks we are part of the game.
I like this player. It played well. It did not give up.
It is reading our thoughts as though they were words on a screen.
That is how it chooses to imagine many things, when it is deep in the dream of a game.
Words make a wonderful interface. Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the reality behind the screen.
They used to hear voices. Before players could read. Back in the days when those who did not play called the players witches, and warlocks.
And the player was a new kind of player, the first of its kind, and it built a small world.
Sometimes the player dreamed it was a miner, on the surface of a world that was flat, and infinite.
The sun was a square of white. The days were short; there was much to do; and death was a temporary inconvenience.
Sometimes the player dreamed it was lost in a story.
Sometimes the player dreamed it was other things, in other places. Sometimes these dreams were disturbing.
Sometimes very beautiful indeed. Sometimes the player woke from one dream into another, then woke from that into a third.
Sometimes the player dreamed it watched words on a screen.
Let us speak in the old tongue.
It knows we are here. It is dreaming of us.
Wake up.

ThermaLink

The kitchen is what defines a home for many, but for individuals with disabilities, it can become a dangerous task. The team's client faces significant challenges in the kitchen due to Usher's syndrome, which causes progressive vision and hearing loss, as well as a lack of sensation in her fingers. This is a huge safety risk, especially when working with a stove, which is the most common cause of house fires when left on. That's why we created ThermaLink. It features an infrared heat sensor, Bluetooth board, visual LED system, heat resistant material coating, and a device power button for cooking. Along with its companion app, the ThermaLink can notify the client to her phone.

Spark Learn-a-thon

Raised $2000+ and organized an innovative Learn-a-thon at Brampton City Hall. We live in a time of repetitive hackathons built around incredible students who can code at ridiculous speeds, and know the ins and outs of hardware. But how do students enter these hackathons? That is why we created the Learn-a-thon, an innovative hackathon that does not require any prior to knowledge — as it was taught at the event by guest speakers.

MediTank

MediTank

A project created at Shopify/Hackclub hackathon. Worked on mechnical and hardware parts of robotic tank. As the hackathon was based in an apocolyptic environment, MediTank aimed to be able to provide healthcare on the go. Features included: a deployed radar system based on heat signatures for detecting threats, alert apps for medical workers to pack things up and leave, and efficient threat catalogs.

MES Egg Drop

MES Egg Drop

Project was created in McMaster Engineering Society's Engineering Competition. Applied physics principles and creative engineering to protect an egg from high-altitude drops. Although the task might sound simple, it was a complex egg drop, consisting of physics reasoning. Our design featured an extensive crumple zone to take the hit of the drop against a brick, and succeeded.

Academic Projects

P1 Project - Airport Systems

Project focused around designing efficient baggage handling systems. This project includes both a physical and data handling solution to the baggage crisis. Our team's solution to the physical baggage handling includes a 3D printed and laser cut cart system, along with a Raspberry Pi controlled QArm. For the data handling side, we analyzed and managed extensive airport data sets, and created professional level data-handling systems using Python for airports. Project was made in the ENG1P13 course.

P2 Project - Water Filter

Research project for finding a suitable water filter material for filtering radioactive particles. Main goals were to be sustainable, cost-efficient, and locally sourced, as this project was focused on making treatment plants for small communities surrounding Bruce Power plant. Project was made in the ENG1P13 course, and presented in front of professionals in a room of 50+ people.
